Within the framework of the New Economic Policy "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" starts project to build a railway section on the Almaty-1 - Shu second track with its electrification.

The ceremony of the start of construction of the second track was attended by First Deputy Minister for Investment and Development of the RK Zhenis Kasymbek, President of JSC "NC" KTZ "Askar Mamin, the mayor of Zhambyl region Karim Kokrekbaev.

According to the existing line length of 306 kilometers of train traffic is becoming more intense. With the commissioning of the second track will be able to increase the capacity of the site more than three times - from 25 million tons to 80 million tons, and the time sequence of freight trains - cut in half. The project will built more than 110 kilometers of main track, engineering structures constructed - 92 units, including 22 - railway bridge, 2 - overpass.

In recent years, the line Astana - Almaty were carried out considerable work on the modernization of the permanent way. It is possible to increase the speed of passenger trains and reduce journey time high-speed train "Tulpar".

During the construction of the line will be created more than 1,500 jobs. Implementation of this project will greatly enhance the transit potential of the economy.

Today in JSC "NC" KTZ " was discussed operation of the new railway line Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan - Iran.

On the eve of the tripartite talks, Vice - President of KTZ Kanat Alpysbayev met bilaterally with the Vice President of Iran Railways Hussein Ashouri.

Today, during a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan Begench Geldiev and vice-president of Iran Railways Hussein Ashouri discussed the organization of high-speed container service on the territories of the three countries with the new line.

Considered the draft organization of container trains from China in transit through the territory of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran to Turkey, transportation of goods, following in India, Pakistan and the Gulf states, Kazakhstan's readiness to send ferroalloys to the port of Bandar Abbas and later in South Korea, Japan.

The parties, in order to increase the traffic on the new line, considered the tariff conditions on existing and alternative routes of transportation. The meeting focused on the need to provide uniform competitive through tariff rates for container trains, as well as the transport of grain from Russia and Kazakhstan to Iran to Tehran and transit through Iran to the port of Bandar Abbas and ferrous metals from Kazakhstan to Iran.

Based on the results of bilateral and trilateral meetings signed a protocol containing proposals for the implementation of the issues discussed.

Today in Baku under the chairmanship of the President of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Askar Mamin held first meeting of the working group of the Coordinating Committee TITR.

The heads of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", Turkish State Railways, JSC "Azerbaijan Railways", JSC "Georgian Railway", JSC "NC "Aktau International Sea Trade Port", Baku international Sea Trade Port, JSC "Azerbaijan's Caspian Shipping Company", LLC "Batumi Sea Port" took part at the working group meeting of the Coordinating Committee TITR.

During the meeting the issues relating to the establishment of competitive rates for transportation of goods, formation of complex bets on the organization of container trains on the route TITR have been discussed.

In addition, the parties agreed this year to make arrangements for container service from China-Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey with the use of a new railway line Zhezkazgan-Beiyneu, Aktau seaport facilities, as well as railway line Kars-Akhalkalaki by creating an enabling tariff conditions.

Despite the slowdown in economic activity in the region, the participants developed a number of joint actions to achieve the level of traffic through the Trans-Caspian international transport routes at the level of 5.5 million tons of cargo a year.

President of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Askar Mamin have been re-elected as chairman of the Coordinating Committee TITR for 2015.

The next meeting of the Coordinating Committee TMTM will be held in Istanbul on 5-7 March this year.
